Time Management

Moms know more than anyone how vital multi-tasking is. But there needs to be a balance. This generation of moms (generations x and some y) are pressured to be "Super-Moms". We are told by the media that we need to work at a career to feel fulfilled as a woman, have our kids overbooked in activities so they can have a heads up in life, and be the perfect housekeeper and gourmet cook. Most of this is advertised to be done by a single mom- who needs a man? WOW! Talk about high expectations and stress-overload!
Yes, all these things are achievable, but are they worth it? Kids needs both male and female role models in their lives (both parents when possible) and will be just fine without the extra curricular activities 6 days a week. They stress out too and just want to be kids- so let them. We don't need to be "Super-Moms" but we all can be super moms. We can keep our families happy, ourselves sane, and priorities in focus when we use our "NO" button. (It's an amazing tool. Try it sometime.)
Prioritizing is the main key here to achieving what you really want. If you want it all like the media feeds you, go for it. But remember what is really important and put your focus there. If you are more focused on just getting by day to day, I advise that you know and recognize your limits and stick to your guns!

This page will be dedicated to doing just as this has described... using your "NO" button and knowing your limits. I will research out articles I trust to be accurate and relevant to share with you. I will also leave it open for those of you who would like to vent over stressors (venting is a wonderful release) and ask for help and/or advice for problems you may be having. I would love to turn this into a thread, but I have no clue at the moment how to do this.

So, for the time being, this site is still under construction, but is open for conversations. Keep in touch!
